Kennington WI meets on the second Monday evening of each month with a varied programme of activities, entertainment speakers throughout the year. Our membership exceeds 100 at the current time and there is more to membership of Kennington WI than just our monthly meetings – we have several special interest groups that many members enjoy throughout the week, as well as regular trips and events open to everyone.

Meetings start at 7pm in our Hall at 228 Faversham Road, Kennington, and new members are always welcome.

Our New Members Coordinator, Tricia, is on hand to welcome any newcomers, as we fully appreciate that joining any new group can be a daunting experience! Tricia will meet new members and help them settle in to our meeting, show them the ropes and introduce each lady to key members of the committee. New members are welcome to sit with others during meetings, or join friends. Tricia will also be on hand to answer any questions new members may have, and ultimately help them become fully fledged members of Kennington WI.

Membership is just £42 for the 2019 subscription year, pro rata for those joining part way through the year. New members are not committed to taking a subscription for their first three meetings, rather just asked to contribute £1 a visit to cover refreshment costs until they feel ready to join fully.

Kennington WI is a member of the East Kent Federation of Women’s Institutes, more details of which can be found at this link. More information about The WI can be found at www.thewi.org.uk
