Join the WI
Kennington WI meets on the second Monday evening of each month with a varied programme of activities, entertainment and speakers throughout the year. Our membership is healthy and ladies enjoy access to more than just our monthly meetings. We have a variety of special interest groups for members to enjoy throughout the week, as well as regular trips out and other events.
Meetings start at 7pm in our Hall at 228 Faversham Road, Kennington, and new members are always welcome. Our visitor’s hostess will be on hand to welcome all newcomers, as we fully appreciate that joining a new group can be a daunting experience! We will meet visitors and help them settle into our meeting, show them the ropes and introduce them to other members.
New members will be given a welcome and information letter to help them become fully fledged members of Kennington WI.
A reasonably priced membership fee is charged for each subscription year. This is payable each April or will be pro-rata for those joining part way through the year. Guests are encouraged to visit our WI with the prospect of joining in the future. Up to three visits to consecutive monthly meetings (for £1 a time) are offered to see if our WI is really for you. Between these test meetings you can also try out any special interest groups you might fancy (limited to one visit per group). After your 3rd monthly meeting we hope you will decide to join us.
