The Ashford Craft & Home Economics Guild is one of eight groups that come under the umbrella of the East Kent Federation of Women’s Institutes.

Many members of Kennington WI are members of the Guild and meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at Kennington WI Hall, beginning at 2pm (no meeting in December).

The Guild hosts an interesting and varied programme of speakers and activities, more details of which can be found in the calendar on the right. In previous months, we have enjoyed speakers covering subjects such as plants that heal, theatre costumes, Kennington in the Second World War, WW2 rationing and packing your suitcase for a holiday. We also host an annual outing and a garden party.

21st – Talk by Margaret Ovenden: “Catwalk to Quire”

19th – Demonstration by Margaret Palmer: “Christmas Crackers”

16th – AGM & Party
